Who we are
Orchard Manor is a small private rental in Ocișor, Hunedoara county, Romania, operated by Haven. You can reach us at contact@orchardmanor.ro for any privacy question.
What we collect
When you contact us via WhatsApp, phone, or email about a stay, we receive whatever you share with us: typically your name, the dates you want to stay, group size, and any questions or preferences.
From the website itself we collect aggregate traffic statistics. By default this runs through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and stores no personal identifiers. If you accept via the privacy banner, we additionally enable Google Analytics 4 — this uses cookies (stored in your browser) to measure sessions, page views, traffic sources and aggregate events (phone / WhatsApp clicks, outbound clicks to maps).
Why we collect it
We use this information to reply to your inquiry, agree on a booking, host you well, and meet our obligations to Romanian fiscal authorities.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to a direct inquiry, plus contractual necessity once a booking is made.
How long we keep it
Inquiry conversations that do not lead to a booking are retained for up to 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted.
Confirmed booking records (dates, guest names, payment confirmation) are retained for 5 years to comply with Romanian fiscal law.
Who we share it with
WhatsApp messages are processed by Meta as the messaging provider.
Email is processed by our email provider (Google Workspace).
Hosting and cookieless analytics are handled by Cloudflare.
If you accept the additional analytics, aggregate traffic data (without direct personal identification) is processed by Google through Google Analytics 4. You can withdraw consent at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
We do not sell, share, or send your data to anyone outside of these processors.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your data. Write to contact@orchardmanor.ro and we will act within 30 days.
You can also lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP, Romania's data protection authority.
Cookies & tracking
Cloudflare Web Analytics runs by default, without cookies.
Google Analytics 4 runs only after your explicit consent via the privacy banner. It uses cookies (including `_ga` and `_ga_<ID>`) to distinguish sessions and measure aggregate traffic. GA4 retains data for 14 months by default.
We don't run the Facebook Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, or any other advertising tracker. There is no remarketing. You can change your mind at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
